Use cases

Discovery, research and consideration
are moving into a private channel.

Seeing inside that channel is what Nova does. AI is increasingly the broker between consumers and what they buy, and Nova applies to any challenge that touches on that.

For GEO, AEO & SEO teams

Your brand may have AI visibility, but are those mentions worth anything?

See where and when you're named, who you're up against the moment you come up, how the buyer responds, and whether Nova found you live or already knew you. Then, test changes to improve performance.

For Brand & Insights teams

Is your brand tracker complete if it can’t see inside where consideration now forms?

Consideration increasingly forms or falls apart within an AI conversation, so your brand tracker metrics move, but you don’t know why. You can't measure that with a survey. We let you watch this moment happen, with a real person, and test what's actually driving it.

GEO, AEO & SEO

For GEO, AEO & SEO teams

Reading only the first AI response shows about a quarter of the brands.

In our laptop study in the UK, only 63 of 259 brands (24%) had appeared by the AI's first reply. Most arrived later. And appearing is not the same as being chosen. Of the 229 brands that first appeared in an AI reply, 26 (11%) were selected.

Nova gives you an X-ray of the full conversation, so you can confidently diagnose and direct your GEO budget in the right places using the full picture.

What you actually learn

The shortlist is set by reply three.

By the AI's third reply, 84% of the brands that ever appear (218 of 259) had already appeared. New arrivals then drop from 0.88 per conversation in reply three to 0.24 in reply four. Arrive late and most of the field has been named already.

Being cited and being chosen are two different things.

A brand can perform well on visibility but consistently underperform in actual buyer engagement. A brand with strong engagement can fly under the visibility radar. Visibility and outcome don’t always follow the same path.

Know how you’re described and which sources the AI reached for.

See the AI's own search queries as they run, down to the domain it cites. Know which claims were from training memory and which were live searches, which searches made it to the buyer, and which links the buyer clicked.

Real prompts, organic conversations .

A written, engineered prompt can give a useful but mechanical representation of an AI’s first response. Human opening prompts are often personal and imbued with situational context. A real person, mid-conversation, following up on a point or correcting themselves, is what AI purchase conversations actually look like.

Know your competition.

On average, a conversation put 3.5 laptop brands on the table in our study. Whether you show up, when and how you show up, and who sits next to you, are what the full conversation reveals.

Who this is for

Media buyers, GEO/AEO leads, and content/SEO teams who need to know whether AI-driven discovery is translating into consideration, not just visibility, and whether their budget is being directed in the right places to improve performance.

Nova lets you observe typical conversations with real buyers, or test changes to optimise your position.

See how both work on the Product page.

BRAND & INSIGHT

For Brand & Insight teams

Major brands appear in 99% of sessions, smaller brands 50%. Once mentioned, they convert at the same rate.

Once a brand makes it to the conversation, the AI doesn’t favour big names over small. This short window can reassemble consideration in real-time, outside the view of traditional brand trackers, one private conversation at a time.

What you actually learn

Getting into the conversation is the hard part. Once there, it's a fair fight.

Size and reputation only go so far once you get into the conversation. AI visibility can be increased, which means more of this competition, for every brand, is happening entirely outside what a tracker can see.

For every brand a shopper chooses, the AI raises almost nine

30% of brands that first appeared in an AI reply drew a follow-up from the shopper and 11%)were chosen. The full conversation shows what happened to the other brands raised.

1 in 3 brands the AI raises gets no explicit reaction.

Despite typically showing up later in the conversation, in a more crowded consideration pool, smaller brands still convert at parity with bigger ones.

A specific moment in the AI conversation boosts minor brands as much as major ones.

The single strongest predictor of buyer engagement is if the AI verifies the brand with a search unprompted.

Who this is for

Brand and Insights teams tired of brand trackers that show what happened, but never why. Better surveys and interviews aren’t the correct answer because they still cannot see the 33% of brand discovery and research now flowing through AI (GWI Core, Q2 2026). Nova can complement your existing tracker to complete the picture.

Keep your tracker up-to-date with today’s consumers.
